Is there a way to animate the values for spring rate and damper rate? my goal is to show different 'driving modes' (eg. comfort, sport) in one simulation.

Core parameters have to be initialized at start-up, so it cannot be altered when the sim is running. So, no, springs and damper rates cannot be animated.
